Inpatients – Coming into Hospital

If you are coming in to hospital as an inpatient, when you arrive, please report to staff in the ward who will help you and show you where to go.

Remember to bring with you any medicines you are currently taking.

A small bag containing items such as toiletries, nightclothes, underwear, nightgown, slippers, something to read, glasses if you use them, a small amount of money, mobile phone and next of kin contact details should be taken.  Please note, storage space is limited and therefore you are advised to bring as little with you as possible.

Jewellery and valuables should be left at home where possible. The hospital does not accept any responsibility for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings.

Patients will be given a menu choice the day before which they will be asked to make a selection from. Where possible, we try to protect mealtimes for patients in the wards.

Main meal times are as follows:

  • Breakfast: 8.00am – 9.00am
  • Lunch: 12noon – 1.00pm
  • Tea: 5.00pm – 6.00pm
