Health Visiting Services - Service delivery update 10 January 2022
Following recent guidance from Scottish Government around the changing COVID-19 picture and increasing prevalence and transmission of the Omicron variant, NHS Orkney have made the decision to reduce the face-to-face contact that some of it’s services are having with patients, to better protect its patients, staff and the community of Orkney.
The Health Visiting Service has adopted the Government recommendations to implement a slightly reduced service provision based upon COVID guidance and staffing levels and altered delivery of the service through utilising a mixture of face-to-face and virtual means (telephone or Near Me videocall).
Please be aware that these are guidelines and will be assessed on an individual basis and therefore may vary from family to family. We will review these adaptations to our service regularly and will provide updates via the NHS Orkney Website on any future changes.
