Covid Vaccination Clinics for 6 March for those aged 18 - 49 who fall into one of the high risk categories

The next priority group who are receiving letters and being called to have the Covid vaccination at the mass vaccination clinic at The Balfour this Saturday March 6 has been announced. Those aged 18-49 who fall into one of the high-risk categories will be called for vaccination this weekend.

ALL ELIGIBLE patients will receive a letter in the next few days.

NHS Orkney asks that patients ONLY ATTEND the clinic if they have received an invitation letter from the health board.

Please note, the categories determining who is “high risk” are not the same as for the flu vaccination. For Saturday's clinic, the vaccine has been carefully allocated and ONLY THOSE WHO RECEIVE AN INVITATION should attend the clinic.

If you have any queries, are unable to attend your appointment or are temporarily staying in Orkney please phone 0300 303 5313 (phone lines are open weekdays 9.30am to 4.30pm).

As we are dealing with a high volume of people requiring vaccination, we ask that patients come for the slot they have been allocated. This is to ensure social distancing.

Patients should not attend if they are feeling unwell, showing signs of Covid, have recently tested positive or been told to self-isolate. If this is the case they should phone to rearrange their appointment.
