Baby Box pilot scheme

NHS Orkney at its Board meeting today heard from three mums who have been involved with the pilot scheme for the new 'baby boxes' which started on 1 January 2017. It was very interesting to hear their experiences, with two of the mums using the box for the baby to sleep in. As two of the mums already have children, it was useful to know which items were beneficial and which were more suited for the first time parents.

All mums were delighted to have received the boxes and the chance to be involved with the pilot. Board members also welcomed the chance for a sneaky cuddle with the three adorable babies!

Pictured are the baby box contents along with a photo of baby Camrynn sound asleep in her box. The pilot scheme is running in Orkney and Clackmannanshire for three months.
