Melanie Barnes

Melanie has 25 years of experience of working within several NHS Scotland Boards.  A qualified accountant with ACCA, she has extensive experience of financial, management, project and cost accounting.  She has extensive experience of high profile projects and managing expectations while ensuring financial governance is upheld and investment objectives are achieved.

Prior to joining NHS Orkney, Melanie was Assistant Director of Finance for the Scottish Ambulance Service primarily leading on major projects, capital planning and costing.
