COVID-19 Vaccination - May 2023
Vaccination is still the best way of protecting yourself against severe COVID-19 illness. The vaccine can reduce your risk of developing serious COVID-19 and make your symptoms milder if you do get it. Please come forward before 30 June if you haven’t already had your first or second dose. For more information visit NHS inform: The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine | NHS inform or call the National Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013.
NHS Scotland recommends you have the Spring Booster this year if you are aged 5 years or over (by 1 April 2023) and have a weakened immune system.
The list of health conditions or treatments that may mean people have a weakened immune system that would make them eligible for a Spring Booster is available on NHS Inform; https://www.nhsinform.scot/covid-19-vaccine
If you have not received a letter but you think you are eligible please call the National Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013
If you are unwell, please wait until you have recovered to have your COVID-19 vaccine. You should not attend an appointment if you have a fever or think you might be infectious to others.
