COVID-19: Changes to outpatient appointments for Children’s Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy
In line with guidance from Scottish Government to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and to protect and safeguard patients and staff we are making changes to the ways in which we deliver our outpatient appointments for Children’s Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
The Peedie Sea Children's Centre are still accepting referrals and self referrals for concerns about Children’s developmental and musculo skeletal problems. These referrals will be triaged by telephone. We would then establish whether self-help, advice or exercise programmes are appropriate. If a face to face conversation is required this can be arranged via video conferencing using ‘Near Me’.
If following the initial telephone triage, a face to face consultation is essential we will make arrangements for this to be carried out. Before the consultation you will be contacted before the appointment to ensure you are well enough for the consultation to take place and to ascertain if you have any COVID-19 symptoms or are self-isolating.
We appreciate these measures may cause some anxiety and inconvenience, but this is a highly unusual situation.
We can be contacted at Peedie Sea Children's Centre on 01856 885590
