COVID-19: Changes to Obstetric Ultrasound Service - 25 March 2020
In line with guidance from Scottish Government to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and to protect and safeguard patients and staff we are making changes to the ways in which we deliver our Radiology services.
We appreciate these measures may cause some anxiety and inconvenience, but this is a highly unusual situation.
The Obstetric ultrasound service will be limited to clinically necessary scans only. At this current time pregnant women only will be allowed in the consulting room with the sonographer during the scan.
All ultrasound appointments will be at the Radiology department NOT the maternity unit.
If you are required to attend for an ultrasound appointment please report to central reception no more than 5 minutes before your appointment observing the government social distancing guidance.
Following your appointment please leave immediately and return home
If you are unable to attend your appointment please call us on 888238.
