Facilities at the Balfour
NHS Orkney and Scottish Government are well prepared to deal with Corona Virus (COVID-19). From Wednesday 18th March 2020, and until further notice we have put measures in place to protect both patients and staff from any unnecessary exposure to COVID-19. These measures have resulted in a number of changes to facilities at The Balfour.
With immediate effect the outside play park and the children’s play area within The Balfour are closed and the restaurant and shop located in main reception are no longer available to the general public.
We have also closed the main entrance to The Balfour to restrict the number of people coming into the hospital. Should you be required to attend The Balfour you should enter via the side door.
